EMB staff wear it pink in breast cancer fight
Employees of EMB Ltd, the leading enterprise and economic
development company responsible for delivery of a range of business
improvement services including Business Link, UK Trade &
Investment and Leadership and Management Advisory Service, turned
pink for a day to help raise over £1,000 towards the fight against
breast cancer.
Over 100 staff across EMB's office locations swapped their formal
dress code in favour of pink outfits for Breast Cancer Campaign's
Wear it Pink Day.
Even Chief Executive of EMB Ltd, Stephen Smith got in on the act,
saying:
"Although we had lots fun, we must remember the serious matter
that one woman in nine in the UK will be diagnosed with breast
cancer during her lifetime. Breast cancer research has made
considerable progress over the past two decades and vital work is
still underway. Past research has resulted in improvements in
quality of life and survival. Each research project funded by the
charity takes them a step closer to beating breast cancer and
events like this help to raise awareness of how we can all help to
make a difference.
Each year our staff really go the extra mile to help raise money
for a range of worthwhile causes and today's result is
fantastic."
