EMB going for Gold
EMB Ltd, the enterprise and economic development company that
delivers a range of business improvement services including
Business Link, UK Trade & Investment and Leadership and
Management Advisory Service, has officially been recognised with a
Silver Award for additional achievement against the Investors in
People national standard, putting EMB among the top two per cent of
recognised Investors in People companies in the UK and 1 of only 18
organisations based within the East Midlands.
The grade recognises excellence in the organisations management
effectiveness, strategies to support work-life balance and other
areas including the involvement and empowerment of employees and
the active support of their personal and professional
development.
To achieve the base standard, a company must meet 39 criteria in
the improvement of employee management.
To achieve the Investors in People Silver Award the company must
achieve an additional 76 evidence requirements or more. These
include a range of strategies for improving performance, effective
leadership and management through increased engagement.

EMB Ltd which has swiftly become recognised as one of the UK's

the Investors in People silver award for its successful approach to
managing employees' and customer needs.
Investors in People's framework has recently been extended to
provide greater stretch and challenge as well as providing further
recognition to reflect additional achievement. Under the new
structure, Investors in People have introduced additional Bronze,
Silver and Gold recognition, designed to celebrate outstanding
success and identify areas for further development.
